Athletics Day

Introduction:

Yesterday on the 27th of November we had Athletics Day, On that day was the most exciting day of my life.

First, We were in our classroom to wait until the teachers to tell us that it was time for Athletics Day. Some of the other peoples parents turned up because people wanted our parents to turn up so they could watch their kids having fun at school.

Next, All of us were exhausted from the running or challenging other people, Some of us were having a great time with their parents or having fun for playing the games. People were enjoying the music as they were dancing to the lyrics of the song and enjoying the day at the sametime.

Then, Other people did either ‘Egg and spoon’ or ‘Tug-o-war’, students and parents were enjoying the day because Antonio’s mum gave us some ice blocks for room 10 and 9. The ice blocks tasted good and our day was tremendous for other people.

Finally, Once all of the activities were over and the bell rang were all sat on the field to listen to what Mrs. Rose was gonna say, Mrs. Rose wanted us to clean the whole field so it could be clean again. Once we cleaned the filed all of us sat on the grass to listen to Mrs. Rose conversation, Mrs. Rose told that purple was last, Orange was second, and pink was in first, pink was happy and cheerful with each other.  Pink thought that we were last cause of our points but instead they were happy that they won but confused as well.

Conclusion, Yesterday was the most exciting day ever!, but quite exhausting too!, but that was a great day for all of us or probably some of us.

Tū manawa sports

Introduction – We were doing Tū mana wa sports this morning and it was the best sports of my life.

First, We did infinity tag and it’s when people tag the other person and that person sits down, but if another person tags the person that got tagged the other has to sit down and the other person has to stand and continue their tagging process.

Next, We did ‘shot putt’, We had to put the ball in our hands and the couch said “Dirty fingers, dirty neck” he teaches us how to position ourselves for shot putt. Then, We did ripple tag which is my first favorite game cause people have to take the bib off just like infinity tag puts it’s most likely  different. and infinity tag is my second favorite game.

Finally, Our last game was rob the nest, all you have to do is just run when the couch tells you to go and you run after, once you get the ball you run back to your partner and smack their hand so it can be their turn to run for the ball. one team got 14 tennis balls, the other got 17, and the next one got 16, But we got 19 because of me and Fahim.

Conclusion, This is our last Tū manawa sports for this year and it was the best Tū manawa sports. i enjoyed playing with my classmates in Tū manawa sports!.

Pink Ribbon Day

Pink Ribbon day makes people aware of Breast cancer. Breast cancer mostly affects women but sometimes breast cancer affects men. The pink Ribbon day takes place once a year.

People sometimes get killed by breast cancer from the effects it gives them. Breast cancer can sometimes give a lump on a woman’s breast.

Farmer Jasmine\ Xzavier

On wednesday 25 september Xzaviers mum came to our school and brought some lambs and a calf.

First, we went on the field and went to Xzaviers mum and some of the older kids are there and Xzaviers mum told us the names, Their names are called Steevo and wee man. Xzaviers mum told us some things that we don’t know about lambs and the big one that Xzaviers likes is called JB. JB is a calf\bull, The two hundred make 4000 thousand litres of milk each day . JB is 10 weeks old and i’m not sure what is the gender but bulls grow between 500 and 1,000 kg or either.  but if you look at the actual bulls their huge and massive. Even Jasmine said that we could touch the lambs and each one of us touched it except me, Jasmine told us to wash our hands when we are done touching the lambs. one of the lambs jumped and Jasmine said we shouldn’t go behind JB or he\she would kick us from behind and we could hurt ourselves so we had to pet from the front of it instead from the back.

Rob the nest

How to play rob the nest

First: You listen to the teacher for instructions.

Next: You get in a group and there will be four groups around a square. The people will get ready to get the ball.

Then: When the teacher tells you to go the people go and run and they get 1 ball each. after they get that 1 ball they run back and slap the other persons hand so they could have a turn.  When they do that after they get 1 each they put it in a pile so they could count all of them.

Finally: We count all the balls, each to see how much we have. after that we see who has the most of them..

Belling the cat

Once upon a time there was this cat who was always sneaky and always used to snatch mice. The mice always gets snatched every single day and the mice didn’t like it so they had a meeting to see what they could do. So there was this young girl that had an idea “what if we can put a bell on the cat’s neck … .that way we can escape in time when we hear the bell ring!?” She said in a confused and excited voice, all the mice were thrilled with the idea but there was this one problem “who would put the bell on the cat?” the old man asked with a hint of confusion and all the mice were very offended by the cat so as they went back home afraid with fear in their face they had ideas but they needed courage to make it happen.

The moral of the story is that: It’s easy to suggest risky actions but not many people are willing to carry them out.

Father’s day

On Friday April and Te Waimarie and I went to church so we could celebrate fathers day for my dad. We went to church and we had to serve the dad’s that were coming for Father’s day.. Other people who came to church had to be waiters for the dads. We served the dad’s water or juice but everyone on table 1 wanted juice, no one wanted water. My partner grabbed the juice and put it in a tray and my partner tried not to tip the juice as I held the paper and they finished the juice. We served them food and the dessert was last because the people that were baking it weren’t done baking it. We took the cups back to the kitchen and placed it on the table and grabbed the plate of food that the dad’s wanted and put them on the table in front.

Most people were so thirsty that they drank up all the drinks. After that  we started to get the plates that were empty and put them on the table that was next to the kitchen and we served them the desserts last as they were finishing it. We took the plates that were filled with desserts  to the dad’s who wanted it and gave them as they were finishing.

There were people dancing  beautifully  with lava lavas.  April went to video 1 of the people and as they were dancing. We helped to clear up the dirty dishes too.
